Shupe and the Rubber Band
Won the 1997 Telluride National Band Competition. Appeared
on CNN and received national airplay on NPR's High Plains
News Service. Ranked nationally in mandolin, fiddle banjo
and guitar contests. Opened for Bob Dylan and the Nitty Gritty
Dirt Band. Performed with Chris LeDoux and John McEuen. Received
a nomination for songwriter of the year by the Colorado Bluegrass
Music Association.

From Jimmy's early exposure to Jazz
in the 30's and his first band in Jr. High in the 40's, Jimmy
has been able to listen, learn and share in a real American
art form - "Jazz" for over 50 years.

the record breaking country group "Lonestar" and
later attended their platinum party in Nashville; Featured
in the national television show "Destination Stardom"
(the new "Star Search") where we won 4 shows in
a row and went on to win the final competition; Opened up
for Manhattan Transfer, America, and The Wilkinsons
